Takeshi Nakamura :: strange animals
great misses and lost times, i just have recently (this morning) discovered this recent work of Takeshi Nakamura, through the virb page of the musician - apologies, and thank you to the label for the info. "Strange Animals" is a style exercice a bit far from Nakamura traditional schemes and usual ways. Deep in abstract figures, the musician gives, once again, the sentiment of a methodic and regular exploration in sound and harmonic structures. The result might be, of course, sometimes diverting, but impresses of large aspirations (presentiment) - we knew Takeshi Nakamura an important musician practising the cut-up art at his best, he is also a human being and, let's admit it, a quite strange animal.

i'm a graphic designer so i can't really have a favorite color, but these days, mostly browns and pale blues, or bright blues and purples.
Flowers i just love flowers, i guess i can't say i don't love camomiles hehe ( camomillemusic shameless plug ) but orchids and cherry blossoms and lotus and simple flowers like lilas ( english ? ) or margerites.

i'm a huuuge comic book fan, but to single out a true hero i can't really pinpoint. I mean it might be cliché but Superman is all i ever wanted to be ;)

Mark Rothko, his landscapes are so dynamic and real and at the same time there's an impenetrable distance to them.
Musically, there's too much, but i always feel touched and bothered and dreamy when listening to godspeed you ! black emperor, world's end girlfriend, stars of the lid and explosions in the sky

on a professional standpoint, Todd McFarlane started years ago to draw a character and now those simple drawings became a huge multi media empire.
Somehow it tells me that i can do whatever i want if i have enough drive.
And in a place where there are no heroes ( quebec, Canada ), we all look towards our hockey team, the montreal Canadiens. The sport has a much more socio-political meaning here than anything in the past 100 years.
